Medical SPA Eglės sanatorija has been awarded the Innovation Award at the prestigious European SPA Association (ESPA) Congress, which was hosted in Karlovy Vary resort (Czech Republic) and where the leading health and natural spa companies of the year 2023 were announced.

“I am sincerely happy and proud of such a prestigious award. Medical SPA Eglės sanatorija has been acknowledged for its leading mobile app, which makes accessing and scheduling treatments or other services for our annual number of sixty thousand patients much easier. During the Award ceremony, we have also been acclaimed for the solutions implemented towards greater sustainability – electric vehicle charging stations and solar power stations. This is an important message about Lithuania to the European health and natural spa community,” said Artūras Salda, the Director-General of Medical SPA Eglės sanatorija.

The ESPA, which unites members from 20 European countries, has been organizing the Innovation Award for six years now. During the awards, the health and natural spa companies from Europe are acknowledged for their achievements, innovative ideas, and promotion of good practice.

Medical SPA Eglės sanatorija has received the Innovation Award for its mobile app which was the first such app in the Lithuanian wellness sector and which was made available in 2020 and receives regular updates based on comments and suggestions made by patients. The app solution was implemented with the purpose of replacing paper treatment cards and making treatments at the Medical SPA more accessible.

The ESPA Innovation Awards is a prestigious event organized by the European Spas Association, bringing together the entire European health and natural spa sector. It serves as a platform for increased visibility and recognition, and fosters communication, the sharing of best practices, and opportunities for improvement.
