In Medical SPA Eglės sanatorija it is easy to notice a huge number of works of art, which organically fit into the environment, not only creating an aesthetic pleasure for the eyes, but also allowing art therapy to contribute to improving the health and well-being of guests.
A special artistic atmosphere is created by artworks painted during plein air workshops, which have been organized for the past two decades and often embody images inspired by the resort’s environment. The artists have explored the place, and their works feature expressive figures of townspeople walking, playing, enjoying the aesthetic and relaxing – in the baths, in the pools, on lounge chairs, and in the various areas of the spa.
These compositionally appealing scenes of sanatorium life went beyond painting this year. The works of artists Romualdas Balinskas, Agnija Germane, Bronius Gražis and Jonas Danilauskas now decorate work notebooks, calendars and glass cleaning cloths, and this is only the beginning of the story. New souvenirs with paintings will be issued soon, and already issued calendars and eyeglass cloths are available at the reception desk of Medical SPA Eglės sanatorija.
