“We have informed the Ministry of Health of the Republic of Lithuania that we are prepared to take in and to provide the required medical aid to 150 Ukrainians wounded in the war, involving highly qualified personnel and equipment to aid in their quick recovery. Having accrued much experience and within our capabilities we wish to help the people of invaded Ukraine” – General Director of Medical SPA Eglės sanatorija, Artūras Salda said.
Medical SPA Eglės sanatorija, has also prepared to take in and to provide shelter and feeding in Druskininkai to 30 war refugee families. In effort to aid the integration into society and to stabilise the lives of Ukrainian people fleeing from the warzone, the Medical SPA undertakes to employ around 100 Ukrainians in the services of medicine, nursery, catering, and cleaning departments of the SPAs in Druskininkai and Birštonas. Medical SPA Eglės sanatorija, also contributes 30,000 EUR to the cause of the Lithuanian Red Cross Society, which supports the Ukrainian people who are suffering and fleeing from the atrocities of the war.
